Moogerfooger MuRF
I'm seriously considering dropping some cash on one of these - they sound way cool. It's either that or the lowpass filter. Anyone got any experience with either of them?

No, but I've heard they are amazing. I really want one.

Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
I have the Low-Pass Filter.
To be honest, it's okay okay. It's been sitting on top of my Wurlitzer Piano for a while now.
I guess I just never got the hang of getting "usable" sounds out of it.

I have a MuRF and I love it. It has it's down-sides like not cutting through a mix or overpowering your amp, but there's no other effect like it and it just sounds so cool. I have to admit, it's really hard to justify the money for an effect that I don't think gets used very much, but when you're playing alone tripping out to your effects board, you'll be glad you have one.

Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
that's a great deal.. I'd jump on it if you can!
I had one when they first came out and loved it, I never found much use for it within my band at the time but that was more due to the direction they were going. I helped a friend out with some songs and got a lot of use out of it.. it'd be even more useful as a studio tool, I plan on getting one again someday to run all sorts of tracks through

I'm sorry, i've just been really excited that he's interested in my offer, i didn't think he would be. So now i've been sitting here all day listen to sound clips getting stoked. but if it falls through then by all means tell idiotbear
Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
$215 is an incredible price. However....
1) I don't want to get in the way of anyone else's deal :-\
2) I imagine offers should be made on the "For Sale or Trade", no?

Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
i owned the murf for a while.
awesome pedal. cool tones. tap tempo is a cool feature.
but.....
the trick can wear out quick.
semi limited use on a pedal board. studio is another store.
$300-400 for a limited use pedal is why i sold it......and i am a gear whore, i tend to keep everything.

Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
I'd like the Moog Analog delay,12 stage phaser and murf please
I don't see Moog as that expensive,i mean i buy Tech21 and they aren't cheap either. I figure you get what you pay for.......Behringer phaser or Moog phaser? I see boutique fuzz pedals for US$300 so whats $700 for Moog next to that?
But.....it's not very often i could afford a Moog product either

Re: Moogerfooger MuRF
This is kinda irrelevant to this thread, but if you use an expression pedal with the Low Pass Filter, does it effectively act as a wah-wah pedal?
Times change. Remember when dog Jimmy used to go white and chalky? Now it grows hair! We got used to it. We'll get used to poly. -blueavenger
