i'm always intrigued to hear what people use the Deco for -- it strikes me as a really nuanced effect. i had to listen to the Strymon video with headphones to really get it, and then i was like, "ahhhhh.... okay!" it seems like a really great studio tool, but i'm curious about its use in a pedalboard application -

Well, it certainly can be nuanced, but I don't utilize it as such. It's my newest addition so I'm still figuring it out, but my two main settings right now are:
1. modulated slapback that can become pseudo-chorus with light attack
2. Mild saturation in conjunction with the press-and-hold auto-flange feature for momentary swooshing

It really is an incredibly versatile pedal and I can envision it shining at almost any point of the signal chain depending on your approach with it. I'm perhaps still honeymooning, but I highly recommend it. I haven't used it as a studio tool (yet), so I can't speak to it from that standpoint, but I can absolutely see it excelling in many roles there too (outboard saturation, vocal effects, etc...).

build. i got a guitarbuild.co.uk baseball bat ash body and a squier neck/pickups. tbh the whole build was one thing after another going wrong. i'm still not super into the squier pickups so down the line i might change em out. but hey. it still sounds great, it's just a little weak compared to my jazzmaster. it's actually funy i should reply to this post right now since im playing it.... it's behind the cat.

Sweet Jag indeed!
I didn't know there where "Fender only" (what to call them?) Matching Headstock B&B necks... wonderful!
Only thing - and that's maybe just me - but after seing hundreds of black/white PG Teles and probably a thousand black/white PG Strats - I'd put another pickguard colour on it. Mint/Parchment/Cream could already do a lot! And while I'm no longer convinced of putting Tort on any offset you ser... Olympic White a d Black look the sweetest!
Anyway congrats!
Also on the effect-setup! DBA! :-*

Back, main guitar band broke up so I took six months off playing bass in another band, but we're getting back together (most arduous band ever seriously) made some slight changes. Tried fixing my cathedral but the footswitch still has a dip when turned on and off, must be a cap or something so im running it through a ls-2 which gave me the idea to run it as a wet/dry mix and it sounds even better. Sold my rubberneck which kinda sucks, now I have the dd20 on there which works but doesn't have that magic the rubberneck had but still satisfactory. :)

edit: couldn't help myself, had to change out some things...
