No changes in this board though the Supa Trem is superfluous now

into:
(DM-3 in the ?'s feedback loop & the Blue Box in the Meatball's effects loop)

lastly:
(Wobulator is last in the chain running to a second amp in stereo & the Behringer Vibrato is in the MF-104s effects loop)

I've been mainly using an Orange AD5 & a Vox AC4HW right at the moment.

It sounds precisely the same as how it looks... like a giant, fucking disaster! 8)

I'm more interested in how you control how it sounds ;)

Ha! I have to change my fundamental approach using this stuff. It’s impossible to envision a sound and actually get it. Instead, you let the sounds you do find, guide where you go with things.

Anyone who runs two ring mods is okay by me.

That's what I like about making music and especially about effects: you turn some knob and something magical, completely unexpected happens... very cool!

I've had a long standing interest in them. My first was a '70s EHX Frequency Analyzer back in the late '90s. At that point, the main players were the EHX (original and reissue), Lovetone (which would come out right around the turn of the century), Lastgasp Art Labs Sick Pitch King, the old Maestro (and the Black Cat clone of it), Big Briar MF-102, Snarling Dogs Psycho scumatic wah, Frostwave, and the Death by Audio one. I wanted them all! I was dead set on the Lovetone after reading the write up in Guitar Player Magazine at the time. I snagged mine on eBay before Lovetone went out of business. It has survived in my hands the entire time. Every other pedal that came before would eventually be parted with, but not it!

I've spent years learning how to work the damn things! At this point, I have the MF-102, Lovetone, and a reissue EHX. So much ground can be covered between those three that I've never felt the need to further expand. Maybe in time, though

Justin, you are seriously inspiring me to go "Big-Board" again... 8)

Every now and then I will think, "damn, this is getting out of hand... I don't need all this stuff". Then I will pare down to a real small set up for a bit. Eventually I realize, why should I care if it is excessive... this is all about me and what I think is fun. Then I end up with a set up like this :D If I were packing up to play with someone, which I haven't done in about 15 years :wtf: , I would take about 4 pedals. But at home, line 'em all up!

I think I am going to build a board that is 48 inches by 20 inches. That way I can organize things more easily, utilize my power cables better, and use shorter cables. It's kind of absurd, but again, it's in my basement and won't be moving anywhere, so why not. Sure, I could get by without a pedalboard, period, but it helps keep everything together better, less stress on cables, it can be moved for cleaning, rearranging the room, etc.

Heheheh...I hear ya...man if I had a basement space to have all the gear out there I'd do the same. There is something real awesome about big box effects...I am mostly underwhelmed with the look of newer pedals, but give the older large stuff and I am right at home! Something mystical about them.

Out of curiosity, what four pedals would you choose for a jam? :)
