help my Rat clone is a Fuzz Factory!

Post by daydreamdelay » Wed Jan 10, 2007 5:14 am

some people would pay huge amounts of cash for this mod! :o  ;D

so I finally plugged in the Rat clone I built a few weeks back and something isn't right.. it slips in and out of gating, it's very very strange

anyone have an idea what would cause that?  ???

Check your voltages with regards to this schematic.

I went to check last night and couldn't get anything off of the meter this time with the negative lead clipped to the case or grounded jack.. must be a problem there so I suppose I'm going to have to rewire it. all of these pedals have been a guessing game that way since I've skipped the 9v input as I don't use them with od/fuzz/distortion

my Shin Ei isn't working either, definitely my last project for a while.. I'm just not very good at it

can you post pics of the circuit and the wires to it?

well it's half unwired at this point.. I had two different offboard wiring diagrams to go on and didn't like the one I ended up with, I wired it up the other way first but when it didn't work I tried this one. It ended up being I had the wrong resistors in so maybe that fried something.. I'll finish up wiring it later and see if I can get the meter to work
