I was quite sure of getting rid of a couple things for my bass board, but I'm so glad that I waited until I got the bass together first. Pretty much everything here is staying. Not sure about the Mini, but that's just because I've got a Hudson 2-switch Broadcast coming and I'm not sure if I'll keep both. Still not sure about the EQD Disaster Transport Sr. either, but I do like it better on bass than guitar.

It's funny because I tried a ton of my guitar pedals out on the bass, and I wasn't digging them, and a number of the pedals that'll be on my bass board don't do it for me on guitar. EQD Night Wire with bass is AMAZING. Same with the Sneak Attack. Didn't love it on guitar (though I did find out a trick with the volume knob that I didn't know before) and it's SO much fun.

I have that pattern strap on a brown seatbelt! It looks amazing next to that tort.

Thanks man! I couldn't care less if the way I dress matches, but guitars and straps should definitely match

That bass is really put together. Love the how the faded tort (look like spitfire?) works with the wood tone and the ivory cupcake knobs bring it all together.

What are the neck and body origins?

Thanks dude! I had originally planned to paint it Olympic White, but every day the brown with orange tort is really growing on me.

Neck is a Warmoth P-Bass neck in roasted maple with rosewood fretboard, body is a roasted ash Jaguar/P-bass mashup that Deed_Poll made for me. The guard is Spitfire (faded orange; speckled 60's I think). Pickup is a Nordstrand MM4.4 that I had them custom wind as an 8-conductor humbucker. The pots are the Reverend/G&L PTB circuit, the toggle switch switches between the bridge-side or neck-side coil, the Mustang switches select between the full coil or either half (2 poles on high strings, 2 poles on low strings, or all 4), and the small slider is a series-parallel switch. Basically, I can get MusicMan humbucker sounds in either series or parallel, Jazz bass long coils, P-bass shaped coils, or reverse P-bass coils. It's a tad bit heavy with neck dive, but feels awesome to play. Only thing left I need to do is shield it, but I'm waiting until summer. If I leave it as brown wood, I'm gonna at least put a clearcoat on the body, and then I'll shield it.

I think this would look great in a multitude of colors. Once the tort goes orangey like this it opens up a different color palette as far what goes with tort, imo.

I agree. I think the red tort is a great color, but goes with less colors personally than the orange. I've seen a few projects from people around here that had a light colored tort that surprised me in how good it looked.

spiffy, how are you liking that evil filter? its on the short list.

great set up btw.

I really wish the Evil Filter was about $80 cheaper. I don't know that i'd use it enough.

Yeah this was my thought on it too and very fortunate to be gifted the unit. Filtering can be done with many types of modulation and EQ. This isn't the only option. They're clones of the Sound Saw available online and the Kill Kill Filter is similar to this pedal.

I was always a fan of DBA and have owned a few of their pedals. They can be very extreme and not do much else.
I've been using the Evil Filter like another filter pedal I have from DBA, the Sound Saw, which is to get really extreme with the EQ. The sweep does have some ranges which barely audible, maybe work better in a mixing type situation. I haven't tried with an expression, but I imagine some pretty cool wah wah type uses or large filter sweeps. The fuzz is my least favorite part of the circuit, but still a nice addition. The fuzz is too gated and splattery for my tastes, but combing the Evil Filter with other fuzzes or modulation is my main use.
