Re: Setup of the day
Thanks Sid! Every day I get up and see the bass chilling on my couch, the more I like the brown.
The pedals are still being tweaked a bit, but most everything there is staying. What's not pictured is an EQD The Warden compressor, tuner, and the Hudson Broadcast I haven't received yet.
I think I might be found the reverb for me from NAMM. Wampler is coming out with a combination spring and plate reverb called Reflections, and they said abouy mid-year. Still looking for a good delay for the bass though. Everything I've tried so far, I'm not crazy about.

It's beautiful for sure. I dunno if I could get along w/ the pickup guard, but it looks very sexyShadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2018 10:07 pmThanks Did! Every day I get up and see the bass chilling on my couch, the more I like the brown.

I'll have to keep a look out for the Wampler box, spring and plate are about all I ever really feel a need for verb wise (although I do think I'll wind up w/ a Fathom at some point). You ever tried the EQD Levitation?

Last night's thing.
not my favorite sound, but an awful lot of fun for an hour or two...or until someone calls the cops.
pedals were just a Basic Audio SuperFuzz and a Belle Epoch.

it's a blast getting them going. I'm really much more of a blackface Fender guy with guitar amps, but this thing gets an absurdly good sound with my Mustang bass.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 3:11 pmWow!! That Dokazaado and Electric cab are both a beast!!!

It's probably my favorite plate pedal I've tried (it's a close race w/ the Talisman).

Re: Setup of the day
Interesting. I'm in no hurry to finish my bass rig, but I'm kinda holding out for that plate/spring combo from Wampler. I'll have to try a Levitation though. Talisman too.Sid Nitzerglobin wrote: ↑Fri Feb 09, 2018 6:49 pmIt's probably my favorite plate pedal I've tried (it's a close race w/ the Talisman).

Re: Setup of the day
New setup I've been playing for the past month or so, when I get a chance to play guitar:
Jazzmaster/Telecaster > Tronographics Rusty Box > EHX Holy Grail Reverb > Fender Rumble 25 Bass amp
I really love this set up. Punchy low-end and sweet highs. I would still love to add a small, useful delay to this setup, but I'm thinking I might just stick to my trusty Ibanez DE-7. I've been using the Rusty Box as an always-on slight gritty EQ and the Holy Grail Reverb is an old friend. One of the first pedals I ever bought and while I don't love it, there has to be something there because I keep coming back to it for amps that lack reverb. Anyone want a VanAmps Solemate reverb?

Re: Setup of the day
Not really a setup but it's something pedal related I could do today with one good hand and one cast hand. A month ago I took apart my BYOC pedals and sent the enclosures to pedals parts plus to get powdercoated. They did a great job at great rates and I've got the enclosures back now. I also picked out some new knobs from the BYOC site. Here's the pedals I could put back together today. The rest (including the reverb and analog delay) require soldering and will have to wait a few more weeks until I have both hands fully back. I'm pretty happy with how these turned out.

Pedal parts plus does great work! I've used them a few times. What really caught my eye, aside from your sweet knobs, is the old school labels with raised lettering!!!

Yeah, I use the dymo label maker all over the place. I just got the clear tape for the pedals.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2018 1:37 pmPedal parts plus does great work! Re: Setup of the day
Do they still make those? I've been looking for a raised label label-maker for awhile now. I know Dymo is a brand, but didn't know if there was a specific model number...
