Cool Marshalls! I have a JTM45 that I built myself. It is a really nice sounding amp. It's running a pair of KT66s. I haven't used it with guitar in a while. I think I will remedy that one day soon! I've always been curious about the 1987x. Have you used a JTM45, too? If so, how would you say they compare? From what I THINK I know, the JTM45 would be looser and rounder, with he 1987 tighter and more present. Maybe more aggressive. Is that off the mark?

Just got a 1973 Fender Rhodes and decided to play some ambient sounds with a Deluxe Memory Boy and a Cathedral.
Here's a lil video I made:

Thanks Steven!! I am really enjoying having a Telecaster again. Tele -> tube reverb -> 6G2 is about the best combo ever :-* I have the Telecaster set up with 9.5-44 strings and am really digging it. It is nice to have strings that I can bend easily. I don’t care if it makes me a pansy or not.

Definitely. It took a minute to figure out what was going on there ;D

Looks fun though.

Looks like a lot of fun! It's too bad that your current patch cables are too long. I kinda like all the color ;D

I put a 12au7 in the V1 spot in my PRRI. It really cleaned it up! It’s definitely quieter but it sounds great. I might have to try a 12at7 to split the difference.

Lovely pair!

Fun to swap around V1 options!
I thought the 12AU7 I tried in mine was a bit lacking. I usually go with a blackplate 5751. Sometimes an 12AT7 is cool too. I run one of those in V1 of my Vibrolux. Nothing wrong with the good old 12AX7 also.

AV64 Tele>Klemt Echolette>Ampeg Reverberocket 2

I just treated the Echolette to a head cleaning/demagnetization, new tape loop, and a fancy new (old) Amperex 12AU7; it’s sounding better than ever, with noticably more headroom and cleaner repeats. Now to find a matching quintet of 12AX7s...
