Re: Setup of the day
Board for last night's gig, wah out of frame, but between the creepyface and the broadcast.
Deja vibe is new (to me) and sounds SO nice and chewy.
I forgot my mics so the Traynor YGM3 went unmic'd & cranked atop a leslie (which was itself atop a table). Monitoring wasn't great for me but everyone said it sounded especially nice. It's also the most I've ever been complimented after a gig, with a few people even commenting on my tone! Not had that before. Wait, this isn't the Good Things thread!

Re: Setup of the day
Basically a '65 ES330TDC through a pedal or two, then an old Roland RE-101, then into a master volume Twin Reverb. Suckiest photos ever, but:
Yes, it is a completely ridiculous setup But why not? I'm having a hell of a good time making as much noise as I can with it.

Re: Setup of the day
Building a rack rig, because apparently I don't have enough headaches or stuff to lug around. The ADA Microfet 100 in the center of the rack isn't plugged in, just there for storage but the rest is JM/Jag -> Supersonic Fuzz Gun -> Fender Blender -> ADA MP-1 (v 2.0) -> Yamaha SPX90 -> Midiverb II -> ADA Microtube 200 power amp -> ADA "split stack" cabs (stereo). This rig is a whole new world to me, so it's fun to be swimming in a different end of the pool. And I can whip up garage, punk, and late-'80s shoegaze tones with incredible ease.
State of the art 1988.
And the spotlight was a quick solution so the cabs would show up in the bright glare. Sue me, I've got some pizzazz and made it blue.

You have a very twisted sense of humor to end this rig with a behringer pedal.i love sharin foo wrote:Basically a '65 ES330TDC through a pedal or two, then an old Roland RE-101, then into a master volume Twin Reverb. Suckiest photos ever, but:

Hehe. Hey, if it sounds good, I'll use it! That is a good sounding pedal, definitely so for the price. I've used it quite a bit. Right now, it is in the external feedback loop of the MF-104Z.. pseudo tape echo style.Harmoncj wrote:You have a very twisted sense of humor to end this rig with a behringer pedal.i love sharin foo wrote:Basically a '65 ES330TDC through a pedal or two, then an old Roland RE-101, then into a master volume Twin Reverb. Re: Setup of the day
Jamming on these at the shop w/ the bass player and robo-drummer this afternoon:
The guitars:
The Jag is a Warmoth alder body and roasted maple neck w/ a Lollar minihum at the bridge and Firebird at the neck, Mastery bridge and tailpiece, LSR nut, Hipshot open gear locking tuners, and more stupid wiring tricks than you can shake a stick at. I wrapped this one up a few weeks ago and it's rapidly become one of my all time favorites.
The Junior started w/ a BYOGuitar one piece mahogany body and neck w/ a Gibson P90, Pigtail aluminum wraparound, bone nut, and Grover tuners. It's wired to bypass the volume and tone w/ a push/pull tone pot to engage them. Just finished this one up yesterday and it'll be headed out to my nephew on Tuesday as his high school graduation present. Really pretty damn happy w/ the feel and sound of this one too, I might just have to build myself one in the not too distant future...
The pedals:
TC Electronics Polytune 2 > Fulltone Fat Boost 3 > Keeley bypass loop A [Catalinbread Katzenkonig > Tym Double D > ARC Effects Klone v2] > Keeley bypass B [Zvex Instant Lofi Junky > Cusack Tap-A-Whirl > Malekko Ekko 616 > Catalinbread Talisman] > JHS Prestige
Loop A doesn't really get used much w/ the crunchier amps but works great covering the dirt palette w/ the cleaner ones.
The amp:
Dr. Z Remedy > Brake-Lite attenuator > Marshall 1966A
