My Super hard on clone came off perfectly last weekend (and only cost about 20 quid to put together!!!)

Its taken me about three months to get this far (no previous electronics experience) but i am now overwhelmed with the options.

Just took delivery of a box of 100 ex soviet military GT308 germanium transistors (tenner on the bay) and am looking forward to a weekend of sorting and matching ::) I might have to try your silicon/germanium switching option. nice.

Where do you put the bias pot?? between the  collector of T1 and base of T2?? 1k, 10k ??

Thanks
JJ
Those trannies sound like fun! Good luck with sorting them. You should build another couple of SHOs into a Super Duper  ;)

The bias pot is 10k, wired as a variable resistor in place of the 8k2 on the Q2 collector.
