I can understand running delay before chorus (I do the same; it makes more sense for the mono to stereo split) but not before gain stages. Still, the wah (assuming it's not a volume pedal) is in the right place.

Popped into regent sounds & found this for a v good price: 1979 OD-1 with the original Raytheon RC3403ADB chip. Can’t wait to try this out later

Apart from some earlier Roland branded pedals I've had, this was my oldest. Serial 7000, May 1978 (so, first 6 or 7 months of Boss compact manufacturing)...





Someone paid me a wild sum of money for that. I don't miss it

I don't remember the serial for this one, but it was a '79 and one of the cleanest I've ever seen...

Very cool...I've often been tempted to pick up the Boss Noise Gate and have the mod that turns it into a Slow Gear done on it.

Honestly, I wouldn't bother. It's practically unusable one of the £30 clones do exactly the same (poor) job

Speaking of silver screw boss pedals… it’s been a short while since I realised collecting MIJ Boss pedals was a stupid goal that really would have no end (especially considering there are multiple versions of almost all the pedals). Did a big sell-off to fund a new, more focused Boss game: collect all the silver screw models.

I’m missing two outrageously priced pedals: SP-1 & SG-1. Need to source silver screw versions of the CE-2 & SD-1. Both of them are 1981, so are the first run with black screws. Should be a fun game to try and find those four at a sensible price - 3 of them are v rare, so hoping it keeps me out of trouble for a little while.

I'd love to get my hands on a Spectrum too...I am quite curious about it...it is a simplified parametric EQ if I am understanding it correctly?

I have an Empress ParaEq already...but the simpler nature of the SP-1 is intriguing...
