Any OKKO Effects fans?
I just picked up a Diablo Dual for my Grab-n-Go board on a lark and I'm pretty blown away so far. Sounds really really good and very amp-like. I did some searching around to see and it doesn't seem there's a ton of reviews or guitar forum interest in these and I'm a little surprised, save hundreds of GregsGuitars demos, that is.

Well, I tried a few of their pedals years ago and they were all good. The original Diablo definitely stood out. Amp-like as you said. And that huge LED is cool, too.
I also liked their compressor, and there was another overdrive, but the name escapes me right now.
I think they're great pedals both sonically and visually, and they've been around for 20 years now.

I had a Diablo a long time ago, one of the big box versions I guess. It was the best overdrive I found at the time to go with my Orange (or one of the only ones that didn’t get too compressed and still retained some of the character of the amp…that amp was very picky with any dirt other than a clean boost). Sounded and felt pretty amp-like from what I remember. I’ve been curious about their Coca compressor as well.

I really like the Okko stuff and Heiko is a great guy. If you know his musical background you can only wonder, why the pedals are not used in such a niche much more.
The booth on last year's Guitar Summit was my favorite one and I was really close to buying the anniversary pedal, but 350€ was just too much for me. I hope to find one used and cheaper at some point.

I'm curious to check out their other offerings now. Doing my first gig with the Diablo Dual on Friday so I'll have a better sense of how it holds up live then.

I've never tried one, but I always thought the Diablo looked and sounded cool. I'll have to look up some more info about them.

Oh man, great great night for tones. Backline amp was a kind of uncompromising 50 watt Plexi and 4x10 cabinet that I've used many times with varying levels of success. The Okko did its thing perfectly without needing to do too much dialing. Very happy.level3 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2024 8:33 amHow did it go?stevejamsecono wrote: ↑Wed Jan 17, 2024 9:27 amI'm curious to check out their other offerings now. I have a Mooer Rat in front it for a trebly fuzzy thing and that seemed to do ok as well. May try a TS or Klon type just to satisfy my curiosity.

Re: Any OKKO Effects fans?
I have a Holy Grit and it’s fantastic. Perfect blend of raunchy preamp od & fuzz. I’ve had one since early summer ‘23, but since I’ve been shocked that more people aren’t using it.
It’s not a cheap pedal, I think I got mine for $180 second-hand.
Okko also makes a dual-OD that I’d love to try, but I don’t need any more pedals!
