One of the other admins just sorted it out for me. I hope that it's it. Thanks for checking in again.

Excellent news!
Sorry it took a while for me to reply...I usually get on OSG in the evenings (UK time) and occasionally I miss a night being busy with other stuff.

Just digging this out to say that I recently picked one up and it is surprisingly good! Like, really excellent.
I've kinda always liked Boss pedals, but brand aside, this is the most versatile and one of the best sounding fuzzes I've ever tried. Plus, it will last a hundred years.

Is it just flying under the radar because it's Boss and people don't usually go to Boss for fuzzes? I'm still really happy with it and selling off a bunch of other fuzes and pedals.

Funny, one literally got delivered on my doorstep a few minutes ago. Also, I’ve decided BOSS is amazing.
The cool thing about fretless is you can hit a note...and then renegotiate.

I’m finally getting around to replenishing my BOSS board. Here’s what I’ve got so far:
- FZ-1w
- CS-2
- PN-2
- PH-1r
- DM-2w
- RV-6
- TU-3
- FV-500L
(Sorry for the hijack, hula!)

That's a solid line-up already. Surely a BD-2 is on the cards?
I really want Boss to update the TU line to have one with a decent size display. That tiny little letter/number is rubbish compared to every else's offerings these days.

I’m pleased with it so far, and yeah — a BD-2w is on my list. The TU-3 has been fine for me; I know they released a Waza tuner but I didn’t really see a reason to upgrade. I guess maybe there’s a better buffer, or it’s more accurate? I dunno, it’s a tuner.johnnysomersett wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 1:40 pmThat's a solid line-up already. Surely a BD-2 is on the cards?

I have no issue with their functionality and they tune just fine, but a bigger display would be nice. The giant readout on all the other brands' ones puts them to shame really. I'd like to run all-Boss for live use but the Korg Pitchblack is just infinitely easier to read onstage.Telliot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 1:57 pmI’m pleased with it so far, and yeah — a BD-2w is on my list. Totally, I get that. I haven’t played live in quite a while, so this is fine for the studio work I do (and the odd jam session).

Re: Boss FZ-1w - Anyone else pick one up?
I really didn’t need to know about the modern mode on the FZ-1w
Also, my TU-2 is terribly unreliable at stage volume. And yet because it’s about the only thing I’ve ever kept hold of, I’m completely loyal to it. Even though there’s things that are easier to see, and ones where you can just hit all the strings & it tells you tunings. I can’t even remember what the buttons on the TU-2 do. Standard or drop-d since I were a pup.

I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?
