Kind of boring honestly. Wish they were doing something else. But I mean everything is a clone in a sense, right? So I wouldn't say it's their first clone but it's probably the most blatant clone!

Quite expensive. And already sold out at Thomann, one of the largest European dealers. Ah, well...

Thankfully that Ramble FX 'Bender is readily available.

I’ve got one of those Ramble FX benders, and it’s a good pedal.
Has anyone placed an order for the Boss?

I’m part of a few annoying Facebook groups that seem to be dedicated to making fun of the Lone Wolf Audio guy who does the HM2 clones and when they announced recently that they were gonna do a Waza of that thing oh boy
Kinda hate this whole PRESTIGE thing they do with these pedals, like the DS1 thing being the worst example where they make this pedal that either got discontinued because nobody gave a shit when they made it, or in the DS1 and CH1 cases... other... reasons... and BOOM $150. Hey at least it has the plastic imprint on the rubber part designating it as important.

Man don't knock the HM2, it's not its fault that it sucks unless you're doing death metalMechanical Birds wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:38 amI’m part of a few annoying Facebook groups that seem to be dedicated to making fun of the Lone Wolf Audio guy who does the HM2 clones and when they announced recently that they were gonna do a Waza of that thing oh boy

I will defend some of the Waza pedals though, because it's not just "the old one but cheaper now," most of them have some sort of rework to make them more usable (ala the MT-2W which now isn't terrible), or include mods and tweaks as well as the original circuit as it was on release -- you know how guitarists get with the whole "oh the Boss pedals were great and now they suck boohoo", so this is them saying "okay stfu here you go".
Stuff like the DC-2W (which sounds sweet) or the CE-2W are great because the originals are pretty outrageous (original Dimension Cs go for north of $400, CE-2s are north of $200 and regularly higher, and both will probably need some work done). Yeah maybe if you already have one or have a preferred pedal, they seem unnecessary, but honestly I'd rather drop $200 on a Waza DC-2 than twice as much for a beat up original.

Oh yeah, no, 100% agreed. I’m just saying all the marketing is like idk some shit I’d imagine seeing in a restaurant documentary or something? I dunno, I don’t see why “back by popular demand” isn’t enough so they make a 10 minute video with Sigor Ros or something where they’re framing the decision to do them the same way a master Samurai sword craftsman would advertise their services haha
Dunno if this makes sense or not, just an annoying thing. Totally glad they make the pedals they do thanks to this line. I had the delay for a while and having never compared it to an original, it really didn’t do it for me. There are for sure ones I wanna try though!

Necro bump
I got to play one of these yesterday. It turns out the woman who runs the rehearsal studio we use used to work for Boss and said she has a couple of them. She let me try one and I was impressed.
I used my Japanese jaguar with HBs and my 76 deluxe reverb with a newly installed celestion G12H Creamback. It sounded huge and tight but still very Tone Bender-y. I wish I had one. But there’s no way I’m gonna pay $700-$1k for one. But damn it was waaaayy better than I expected.

Re: Boss Waza Fuzz on the way
I have to imagine they have another Boss Fuzz in the works somewhere. I feel like Boss is riding high right now and people want more of them.
