I have an old DOD PDS 2000 delay sampler, bought off a mate in the 90's.... on my current board.
Talk about the Fender Jazzmaster, Jaguar, and any other offset waist guitars with us!

Yeah, the master volume is almost necessary on those because it’s pure chaos otherwise. Which can be a good thing. The original circuit didn’t have that control, but it was a common mod.mgeek wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 1:58 amA friend gave me a Colorsound Power Boost maybe 20 years ago, that he'd won in a guitar magazine competition. For ages I didn't really get what it was for (a volume boost? huh, why?...) as I was mostly DI-ing, doing home recordings, but then I got in a band and plugged it into an amp... HOLY SHIT
The thing is absolutely savage. It'll tip any guitar, any amp, any mixing desk over into a glorious, always on the verge of feeding back racket, that I've not really heard others do when checking out Youtube demos etc. Properly sounds like things are breaking, in the best possible way.
It's got 'prototype' written inside the casing, so I do wonder if it's a variation that didn't go into production? It doesn't have the master volume on the side like most of the reissues I've seen.
It's the entire point of the pedal for me! Completely demented. Never back mine off 'everything on full'fuzzjunkie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 15, 2020 8:50 am

It’s probably not a variation, just a direct replica of the original, and then later they decided they would sell more if they fixed the main complaint against them, which is “this pedal is an awesome monster, but it needs a master volume!”
I feel pathetically adamant to point out it is a green union jack which is funny to me and I would never otherwise have that fucking flag on anything. On the 06-Jul-2008 you ordered the following products from Dolphin Music:
1 * Z-Vex Fuzz Factory - Union Jack Ltd Edition!!
hadn't they gone to a cheap-ass plastic enclosure by then? that and the Zoom equivalent always looked pretty wan to me.somanytoys wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 8:26 amThe Digitech RP200 pedal that I got a little bit later wasn’t much better. I gave that to a nephew to use for playing with headphones.
To some degree, yes. I think both of the ones I owned (zoom 505) had some metal and a decent amount of plastic, but were pretty durable.dc wrote: ↑Wed Jun 17, 2020 11:38 amhadn't they gone to a cheap-ass plastic enclosure by then? that and the Zoom equivalent always looked pretty wan to me.
i had the Digitech RP-6 at one point around 1998, which had pretty good delays and reverbs at least and came at the end of that line with robust metal shells. i never could get the expression pedal to sync with the effects though, like they promised in the ads
