I remember looking at some other somewhat similar pedals a while back, one that seemed cool was the JPTR Jive - Reel Saturator.

Now they have come out with a ROY G BIV pedal, that seems to be much more in the same ballpark of these listed above. I think that these pedals are all analog, not sure if all the ones listed above are all digital or not.

May be worth a look, depending on what you’re looking for.

It’s crazy how many good pedals are coming out these days. It’s great to have the choices, but difficult to make the choice out of all of them...

Has anyone considered the Warped Vinyl for similar purposes? I am thinking about getting one of these pedals (Shallow Water, Deco, or Warped Vinyl) - I really love the ramping features of CBA pedals, but I also want some versatility as I have room for one pedal only. I play mostly the Bass VI and I wonder if the FF Shallow Water may be too dark. Unfortunately it's too rare to find to try it out before buying.
my shallow water REALLY struggles with my squier bass vi. i have to run the bass vi into my meris enzo first to get it to sound good. i don't know what's happening at the input of the shallow water for it to not work well otherwise (the internal jumper settings don't change anything). i'll try my 28v clean boost to see if that helps.

it's a nice pedal, but it is a little dark and subtle sometimes.

this recent demo is the best i've seen for the Deco. headphones required for full effect:

Thanks both, After much consideration I’m actually sold on the Deco. I haven’t bought it yet but I’m pretty sure it’s the pedal I’m looking for, although it would require upgrading my power supply unit since I already have two strymons

I’ve had the Deco for about 2 years. I really like the right hand side - simple to use, and can do everything from flange/chorus to double-tracking, to delay. And it does those things very well.
I almost never use the left side of the pedal - i find the saturation too dark for my liking.

Overall a great pedal, although i really only need half of it!

Cheers!
J.
