So just to clarify, for those who have the m-13, is it able to get massive slowdive-esque reverb, delay combos? Can the m-13 compete with something like the quadraverb?
Slowdive, Robin Guthrie, Kevin Shields I even had a nice surf sound dialed in within a few seconds. I felt like all of th FX sounded better than previous line 6 devices. If I was playing out this would be #1 on my list of things to get.
It's not about the gear! It's about you, your hands, your imagination, your feelings.

Nice Jason!  I'd seen a couple references on U2 Recording that you'd been testing one of these, but haven't really been following that group closely for the last year or so.  Didn't know you'd gotten a Jazzmaster either.  Clips sound very nice.  Is any of the drive coming from the Marshall model on the Axe-Fx, or is that all from the M-13?

Also... what's your preference for effects M-13 or Axe-Fx?  Or maybe the better question is, does one unit to excel for certain types of sounds (Edge stuff, vs Pumpkins stuff).

And lastly... what are you amplifying the Axe-FX with, or are those clips all direct?

Wow, nice sounds!

I'm gonna be all 'Nintendo 64' when I get mine delivered.
Seriously.

Marshall was set clean, and you can hear it at the beginning of the video.  Then I kick on the Fuzz Face model  :wtf:

M13 and Axe-Fx are both really cool, but are made for 2 totally different applications.  Axe-Fx is for tweakers. I love it for my U2 tribute rig.

The M13 is gives you a variety of sounds very quickly, and is meant to be used with an amp like you would use a pedalboard.

My signal path in the video is Jazzmaster -- M13 -- Axe-Fx (marshall sim only) -- Carvin DCM150 poweramp -- Vox 2x12 and 2x10 cabs

I like the feedbacky bits at the end. I didn't get to play one that loud in the store.

Yeah, I was raging pretty loud.

The camera microphone makes it seem not so loud.

Very... Not sure why I never mentioned them to you over on U2 Recording (I'm gtweise over there btw... was part of your SP group as well)... Anyways, always thought they'd right up your alley.  Denver has some great heavy sounds, and his clean parts are really cool.  I'm pretty sure he's not recording as Statistics anymore, and the new new project is a little different.  Leave Your Name is great album and the self titled ep is really good as well.  Final Broadcast has some good stuff, but it's not as solid from start to finish (although the title track and 10.22 are awesome).

I just recorded 2 videos giving very quick demos of getting whammy and wah sounds from the M13.

The Whammy is actually the Growler filter effect. I set the exp pedal to control the Pitch parameter.

The Wah is actually the Q-Filter effect.  I set the exp pedal to control the Freq parameter.
