Hey, what setting of Axis you reccommend? I have one, a little bit too much strong on bass side. Cheers!

What kind of guitar and amp do you have?

The Axis Fuzz is a Roger Mayer silicon Fuzz Face. It only has two knobs, but they are very interactive. Turn down the fuzz gain slightly on the Axis Fuzz and turn up the volume slightly to compensate. A silicon fuzz will be brighter than a germanium fuzz, but if it is still too dark you will have to adjust your playing style.

If your guitar doesn’t have a treble bleed volume knob, then backing off the gain slightly will make the fuzz have less bass without cleaning up the fuzz too much.

Use the Axis as an “always on” pedal and adjust your clean and dirty signals from the guitar volume. Adjust the amount of bass at the amplifier. Either turn up the treble or turn down the bass to achieve the tone you want with the Axis on.

Try a different guitar. If you have humbuckers or hi-gain single coils in your guitar it will sound like the bass is emphasized.
