Why don’t you just get them, they are not that hard to find.
I have two of them.

I just can't justify the current asking prices...they are usually £400+ on ebay or Reverb (depending on how high on crack the seller is :D )...

I can see myself getting one at £250-£300...it's just not worth more to me. 8)

What Yannis says but also, I just think I'd rather put the money towards a killer acoustic.

At least no one here is chasing the perfect Fuzz Face or Tone Bender and spending $500+ for every boutique variation they can hoard.

I'd love a Moog midi murf, but there is no way I could ever justify owning one unless somehow they reissued it for cheap. Vintage fender reverb unit would make me super happy, I would love being able to just play on someone else's

I paid £200 a piece for mine, one of them has the blue graphics on the front.

I must've been through about 40 fuzz pedals before I realized that the Lovetone Big Cheese could do 95% of what I needed. Sure, a real one isn't too cheap, but ONE pedal covering pretty much everything for me. It really made sense. At this point, I will generally run that, Zvex Super Hard On, and a bubble font Big Muff that I built and that is it as far as gain/ boost goes. I still have a few other things lying around, but I don't feel the need to split hairs with fuzzboxes anymore. But I hoard enough other ridiculous shit instead :fp: Hehe.

I've always been about sound and function and have managed to find everything I need. The one sound that I couldn't recreate with a new pedal was the Polychorus and I found a big box. At this point, it might be nice to find a Univox Super Fuzz but I can get the same sound out of the Super Unpleasant Companion with more dirt, convenience and fine tuning. Unless I'm offered a Sans-Amp Classic for virtually nothing, I can't see myself trading or buying another guitar pedal unless one breaks.

I sort of collect old DOD pedals, because they are quite cheap and come in hideous colors, like Stabilo yellow or old chewing gum pink. But 2 of them are getting very difficult to find at a correct price : the Meatbox and the Swell.

You can find them from time to time put close to 200eur which is way too much for pedals that (honestly) sound like crap.

The only thing I really would love to own would be an original MXR Blue Box. But I have a Rowland S. Howard signature pedal (RSH-02) and am therefore not actively on the hunt for one.
"500€? That's the price of a J Mascis Jazzmaster!"
