same idea as the "I Can't Play This Guitar Because..." only with pedals. write down all the shit reasons people have said they cant use a pedal because of. for argument sake, i'm going to get the obvious ones out the way.

because it's not true bypass/buffered.
it's too big
it's cheap

it's too dark/middy [turn the treble up on your amp]
it's too bright [turn the tone down on the guitar]

It has too many knobs.
It doesn’t have enough knobs.
It has that nasty Tube Screamer mid hump.
There’s too much modulation.
It’s noisy as fuck.

No top jacks!


no tap tempo
switch too clicky / not clicky enough
LED too dark / too bright
too digital / not enough bit depth / digital artifacts not like version 1 digital artifacts

if you've ever had your volume sucked by an mxr distortion + you know this is true

^Oh, I thought in this game ALL are acceptable reasons But that doesn't mean they don't paint a picture of fickleness when taken together

-It cant nail that one exact good tone my last pedal got (which I got rid of because I "wasn't getting the tone I wanted")!

-It sounds bad when I turn these two knobs to zero and these two knobs to 10, even though the in-between settings are good.

It doesn't come in black, or it only comes in black. (or whatever color/finish)

I don't like internal trim pots.

Only runs on battery power.

The builder dated a friend's cousin's sister and she said he's an asshole. She's a real bitch, but still...

...the PCB is covered in that stupid black goo which means it turns into a fucking paperweight as soon as it goes wrong.

Crybabies are even worse for this. Can't fucking stand 'em.

Has huge power brick. Cannot be chained with other pedals. Doesn't work with other pedals. Pedal is too small. Pedal is too large.

Some guitarist more famous than me uses a vintage one for his signature tone and now no one else can afford them.
