DD-7 tap tempo mod

Post by marqueemoon » Wed Feb 20, 2019 9:03 am

Anyone have their DD-7 or other Boss delay modded to add an onboard tap tempo? Thinking of doing this for my secondary board as it's on a Nano + and I'm out of real estate to add an external tap tempo switch.

I see Alchemy Audio and Loophole Pedals both offer this. Are there others?

Haven't done it but it is a very easy mod for sure. You'll need a momentary switch, a drill and two wires and a basic understanding of what a tap tempo switch really is.

I'm sure. Not something I really want to mess with myself though.

Boss DD-7 already has tap tempo.

Right, but it uses the onboard switch if you don’t have a secondary one connected. Gets awkward when you want to bypass the pedal.
