Love the massive sounds of his up-strokes and the general tone he's getting on the picking stuff too. Anyone got ideas of his signal here?

if i remember rightly, around this period he was using a russian muff. i can get close to that tone on my black russian.

Thanks, Sean. That's kinda what I was thinking and hoping as I got one of the newer reissues. I'm sure the wide ranges contribute a lot to it also

i ran a test when i woke up this morning. my telemaster (which has wrhb in the neck) into my black russian. i think he's using both pickups since i was getting a little more bass but it'll get you quite close.

Cool. Yes, that makes sense. It's hard to tell as I didn't see a toggle on his JM. But you can def hear some bite in there.

I got a little sick looking at wide range boutique prices. Would love to throw some in my squire. However, they are worth what I paid for the guitar lol.
