I'm about to score a Digitech Space Station...
...and I'm going to pick it up tomorrow (if all goes right) and I'm going to pay...
...wait for it...
...the incredible price of 200€ (if all of this turns out to be real).
I actually can't believe this is true until I hold it in my hands. I've been hunting one of these for years but they are rare and they are INCREDIBLY rare in Germany. Last time I've seen one it was about 600€.
Wish me luck. This has got to be real.

I've had about 3 or 4 of these, and always ended up selling them. They're cool, but the honeymoon love wears off quite quickly. At least to me...
But they are cool to have around for special effects.
Good luck!

I bought one of the ones that Pat sold. Total honeymoon pedal. Marriage was annulled. Moved it on pretty quickly.
But it was a learning experience. I learned I didn't want to keep it.

If my smart remark helps you like the pedal even more, I’m all for it!

That happened between me and a real Boss CE-1. It was my "holy grail". Finally tracked one down for $200. It had a few issues, and sounded great. But the inconvenience of the things failing electronics and constant need for service pushed me away. While it's still my favorite chorus, I don't think it's worth the squeeze anymore.

What about opening it up to copy the circuit, and build a clone of it for yourself?Unicorn Warrior wrote: ↑Tue Sep 04, 2018 7:33 pmThat happened between me and a real Boss CE-1. Re: I'm about to score a Digitech Space Station...
I was actually a bit dampend by your not so enthusiastic comments but I can say that there are enough sounds in it which I can see myself using quite a lot.
The resonators are absolutely brilliant for weird and disturbing interludes and the ring modulators have a very cool digital sound quality which I can't find in my other three ringmods. Also the warp delays and arpeggiators are spot on neo psychedelica/trip hop and remind me of my favourite sounds from one of my favourite albums of all times, 13 by blur.
I think most people buy the space station for the "synth" presets and are very quickly fed up by these because they are just cheesy and outdated. These are for me the least interesting sounds so I'm pretty convinced that I will keep loving it after honeymoon.
I'm about to set up a board with just the crazy stuff of my collection, things like the Space Station, Line6 FM4 or Parasit Into the Unknown and add a Big Muff and my trusty BF-2 and I know this is going to be fun for ages. I don't play rock music and especially for recordings this space ship will come in handy more than just a few times.

Yeah I really like the pedal, I have one that switches between xp100 whammy so the xp300 is all bonus points. I agree about the "strings" part but even then, I think patches 5 and 6 have it so you dial out the pitch shifter anyways .Zork wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 3:44 amI was actually a bit dampend by your not so enthusiastic comments but I can say that there are enough sounds in it which I can see myself using quite a lot.

I keep a list of my favorite patches:
10*** fwd/stop/reverse
19*** -1 to 0 warp
20*** pixelator (mix)
21*** pixelator (pitch)
25*** ring mod (pitch)
33*** Resonator 4

Totally fun. I looooove the synth swell (8), cheesy or not.
Tips to maintain the magic:
Put it in a bypass loop, ideally with a blend function
An EQ Pedal in the loop does wonders
Try other effects in the loop, too.

I have another one Pat sold! I'm still rocking it. For my money, the synth swell sounds on it are my favorites I have heard (5 and 8 especially). If I could find something else to replicate those, i'd let it go for the sake of space and functionality.
