Reverb pedal for Synths
Anyone have strong feelings about what is the best type or a specific non-rack reverb for synth purposes?

I feel like something with a high pass on the reverb tail could be helpful for synth to keep it from getting muddy with bassier sounds.

Synth and early 90s digital reverb go hand in hand for me, Alesis being the one that sounds right, so I guess I would go with The Wedge if it must be in pedal format, one of the MidiVerbs or QuadraVerbs if you relent on the rack format.
Realistic reverbs heighten the sterile synthetic aspects of synths to my ear.

Logic gates based on billiard-ball computer designs have also been made to operate using live soldier crabs of the species Mictyris guinotae in place of the billiard balls.

Yea I don’t think of realistic springs, plates, halls, etc. for synths as much as I do guitar. I do like my Princeton’s spring but I’m eventually going to want something huge and unnatural. I know those old racks are probably the best for this, I’m just not going to start with that for now.

Red Panda Context? It's my favorite reverb, though I've yet to try it with a synth.

Re: Reverb pedal for Synths
Degree of various pedals' headroom may be tough to confirm until the filters start to really thump and scream, but otherwise I reckon solid AD/DA conversion and both stereo in and out would be the only other musts.
For the money and quality, I'd go with a Digitech RV-7

Let's be fair here Zork. What doesn't sound phenomenal with a Sub37?

Re: Reverb pedal for Synths
...no seriously: it has a tone control with a pretty wide range for the reverb so you can easily seperate or blend the reverb and synth sounds. Also the algorythms sound very, very good and you have a good variety of different tastes of reverb. Plus you can go totally nuts with the tone print editor and program your personal reverb with lots of possibilities from classic to wild and weird.

Meris Mercury7 been getting lots of love lately. I have one and am a fan. Their entire line has been getting rave reviews. I'd gladly purchase from them again.

The Meris Mercury sounds great, but the if you don't have the cash for it, the EHX Cathedral can sound really nice too, the Boss RV-5 can work too in some cases.
However, if you want to get something new, and go the extra mile for your sound, I'd look at the OTO BAM Space Generator.

The newer Fender reverb stompbox sounds pretty good and has an array of settings to dial in.

Re: Reverb pedal for Synths
Pricy, but the OTO BAM has been my favorite for use with synths. Also sounds nuts on guitar and whatever else I've thrown at it.
Dr. Scientist Reverberator also does the job really well in a pinch.
