I'm a big fan of the Manx Loaghtan from Catalinbread. I have a bunch of muffs from other builders & I always come back to that one because it does the big wooly thing well but still has amazing clarity when playing full chords. The baxandall eq also allows you to fine tune your tone better & bring in mids that will help you from getting lost in a band situation. They've been discontinued for a while now I think, but you should be able to find a used one pretty easily. My second favorite, for a lot of the same reasons, is the Blackout Effectors Blunderbuss which is a germanium/silicon hybrid & gets a little meaner.
