I passed on the Canyon delay, but they will be getting my money for this one! So much verb sounds and options in a small box. Looks like the poor man's Big Sky. I'm in!

The plate sounds like hot garbage.

The drippy spring sounds are kinda neat, although the “kicking the tank” sound is corny.

The infinite stuff is interesting , but most of the rest don’t interest me.

I’ll stick with my RV-6.

The shimmer sounds like a poor man's Fathom. I really like the infinite switch when you hold down the button, that sounds extremely useful. I have no real use for this pedal, but I'd like to hear a different demo. This one sounded so cheesy and overproduced.

Mostly interested in the infinite, reverse and mod/trem options, if the price is right. Not a big fan of any shimmer verb, they all sound the same and too synthetic for me. I agree the demo could be much more tasteful.

Looks like it's the same price as a used Cathedral? If that's the case then nah. Stereo and saving presets trumps this one pretty easy in my book.

I got excited about the gated reverb. Then, I figured out Boss has that on the RV5. So I'm gonna get one of those.
I really wasn't crazy about the rest of the O11's offerings.

I love my RV-6 for a small reverb pedal, but miss gating and reverse. This will likely be my next purchase.

I heard someone testing this pedal at Sam Ash last night. It sounded great to me.

I have one and I haven't gotten around to testing it yet. I used that recent 20 percent off promotion at eBay to get Musician's Friend to match it so I got the pedal delivered to me for less than $119.

Btw, it is a buffered pedal, not a true bypass ... but I don't think that should make a difference.

There are a few good reviews/demos over at Youtube from Ryan at 60 Cycle Hum and a long one from Germandude.

Revive that dead post! I sold my Empress Reverb because the spring reverb was junk and despite begging and pleading in the owners forum they just aren’t going to rework it. I got an Oceans 11 because the spring sounded good. And.....it does! It sounded great with a Gibson ES-347. But took me a long time to get it dialed in on my AVRI JM. Too bright, too dark, fix the brightness and the drip disappears, go the other direction and ice picks unload on you. I eventually got a very good surf sound (for a $100 tiny pedal). The key was plugging into the normal channel on the Twin Reverb.

Don’t expect the other settings to sound like an Empress. The ghost setting on that thing was divine. The other settings on the Oceans 11 are too casio keyboard-ish to put the FX mix anywhere above “subtle background.” The echo is nice combined with a basic analog delay (carbon copy, vapor trail, etc). If I cared about synth sounds I would have kept the Empress or gone to another fancy reverb. Still, I wish the Oceans 11 creepy verb were a bit more subtle. And a preset system would be nice, even if it were only 2 or 3 slots.

For $100, it fills the Fender tank jones for a pedal board cheat. Don’t talk about the fake crash effect. I want to respect this pedal for what it does well. It kills the Boss FRV-1 in my loser opinion. That damn Boss pedal is a jealous pedal....doesn’t want any other pedals around it. The Oceans 11 plays nice with most fuzzes, but seems to hinder the more over the top pedals. I’m thinking of a certain “scary midrange” fuzz from a few years back.

Verdict: for $100 I wish I would have kept my Empress and just added this for the spring.

ive been curious about trying one because it had both a shim and a mod. but most the demo's have been ignoring the mod setting or spending like 3 seconds on it.

There are better complicated multi fx reverbs out there for mod and shimmer. One plus is that the pedal has a tone knob just for the effect, so while the mod verb isn’t as great as the Empress ghost (or the Empress mod setting for that matter), you can at least bury some of the highs (which is where it showcases its cheapness). Recording with it? No. Going higher volume live with other pedals? It can work. Be prepared to tweak.

I just sold my hall of fame and decided to replace it with an Oceans 11. Especially this demo is very, very intriguing and I like a lot that you can go from 0 to 100% wet with the mix knob and the infinite feature. The hall of fame sounded great, but it was too vanilla, too tame for me. I need much more psychedelic reverbs than the hof offered and I think the oceans 11 will not disappoint me. Any word on how it behaves on synths?

I have one and I agree about what you said about the HOF. However I don't have any synths so...

Big thread over here, with some very snobby spring reverb users’ opinions. Including mine...
