Tonebender book...
Looks very cool indeed, but it is very pricey...

If it was £40 or so I'd probably pick one up...but at £75 I have to pass. Still, it looks cool.

I think they were including the book with the mk1 reissues they did recently. But they were ~£1k after tax so you'd have to really want the book to pay that much

I bought the book and it's a fun read, mostly for the behind the scene details, but yeah, it's a little pricey, but it's also really nice hard back, with a hard cover on top of that.

I think the company that makes these also made the Dinosaur Jr book, which I have and it's so well made. Wasn't cheap though either!

Re: Tonebender book...
Hi there, I’m the publisher of the Tone Bender book. I (and the team) wanted to make this really special. I’ve art directed luxury books for Ferrari, Vivienne Westwood and a host of other big names and I wanted to create something beautiful about one, if not thee, greatest fuzz pedals ever made. It’s an incredible story and we wanted to do it justice.
I made a call early on that as we are only going to do this book once (no other editions, no reprints etc etc) it needed to be as good as we could possibly make it. The producion values are very high on it. It was printed in Italy by the same printers used by Taschen. Purely because I wanted to best results. The photography is amazing and the text rather than a being overly technical is written from a first person perspective growing up as part of a family involved in the legacy of this pedal.
It was a big risk as I really had no idea if anyone would buy it and it cost a fortune to produce but I’m glad we made it as it is a beautiful thing. It needed to be made and I think/hope we did it justice.

The book does look great indeed. I too am an art director / designer guy and really appreciate the work that goes into this sort of thing.
