Any love for Carl Martin pedals? I feel like they're a sleeper... at least in the US market. They're often sold cheap on the used market as well. Johnny Marr uses a lot of them in the studio, still. I believe the two main CM pedals he uses are the AC Tone (the big brother to single AC Tone), and the DeLayla XL.
I want to maybe go ahead and buy the AC Tone considering you can get them for $150 or so on Reverb pretty regularly. Anyone have experience with them?

Re: Carl Martin Pedals?
excellent build quality.
i've been playing the original compressor/sustainer every week for 20 years now. it has met with a couple of unfortunate accidents, one in a tour van packing mishap, where the LEVEL pot was completely knocked off of the housing AND ripped away from the circuit board within. luckliy, the pedal seems to have defaulted to unity output... and it has been working well ever since!
i never tried to fix it because it works exactly how i like. fantastic optical-style compression, excellent fidelity. i also use the dual phaser from time to time. indeed, i picked that one up as a bargain, used, in a Nor Cal guitar shop. studio quality audio in a pedal, they all seem to have that. at least the older, black boxy ones that i have.

Re: Carl Martin Pedals?
I had the classic flange.
Never really bonded with it (it just couldn't replace the Danelectro Psycho Flange I once had).
Liked the form of the enclosure, ripped out the guts, sanded the ugly colour down and turned it into a dual pedal - Fuzzrite with Range Master!
Never tried any other CM Pedals though...

If it's good enough for Johnny Marr in the studio to have an entire board of them, I'll at least try the AC Tone. The DeLayla XL looks nice but my god there's like no demos on CM pedals on youtube.
