Aaaah, thought it was a movie quote or an inside joke :D

Thanks, these have been a few years in the making. The cloth covers are actually micro fiber, used to not only protect the switches and pots from dust and pedals from scratches but to clean the boards as well. If you check the first pic with the blue board, you can see a color matched blue doormat that keeps the board from slipping and protects the wiring and power supply (though those are all alredy safely zip-tied, affixed with aluminium brackets and/or cable holders).

If he's into the color coordination too, Sid sounds like my kinda guy :)

You could always paint the ones you do like. Jack White had all his Raconteurs pedals copper plated.

Aesthetically pleasing pedal boards are great for taking pictures or if you have a lot of money. But that’s just me. My board is too small anyway (delay & tuner).

I have taken an old paint box and made it my pedal board. Then put some stickers and band name (not on the pics) on the cover . When it is open the public can only see the cover... I was thinking also of putting some led lights on the cover so when I hit my fuzz pedal, the eyes of the skeleton glows^^
