Boss FZ-2 for me. Does the Superfuzz thing great, plus has the somewhat random boost setting, which when paired up with something marshally is an absolutely beastly sound! All that in the usual bullet proof boss design.

Also have the Behringer clone of it, which much like a lot of their Boss clones, is almost spot on sonically, if not construction wise.

Danelectro French Toast, which is basically a Foxx Tone Machine.

Fulltone Octafuzz (the 2nd version of the "big box" w/ the switch between Fuzz and Octafuzz).

They're a bit of a rare beast these days but, as a Doyle Bramhall II fan, I would love to try one out

How to take Octave Fuzz ferocity and bring it to a new level: stack with an EHX Double Muff on the Double setting with both levels turned all the way up. So far, it's made my Blue Box ferocious, My Sub Machine almost Shin-Ei thick, and my Super Unpleasant Companion sounds like it can level a continent on any setting.

That looks rad. But they're all over $500.00 on Reverb.

Those cheesy knobs make them look like they should only be $250.*

They're a bit of a pain to clone but they're based on the foxx, which isn't so bad to clone/find clones of.

Well, shit. I just bought a backup Danelectro French Toast, which is, more or less, a Foxx Tone Machine. So, yay me.

I've always liked the octave setting on my Lovetone Ring Stinger better than anything else I've used. It just has this character to it that nothing else seems to match.

Yeah, I keep coming back to that. I almost pulled the trigger on a Basic Audio Superfuzz because it's so versatile, but I doubt it would replace anything on my board or that it would be better than the Ring Stinger.
