More TC Electronic pedals, now with Boss SG-1 and DC-2 clones

Post by Soggasaurus » Thu Nov 02, 2017 11:39 am

I just saw this and, even though I haven't tried any of the other pedals in this series, some of these seem pretty cool. It's especially nice that there are DC-2 and SG-1 clones out there besides plastic Behringers for people like me who'd rather not pay to snag the originals.

oh yay. more re-boxed behringers.

actually, tell a lie. i dont mind some behringer products but i find more often than not, i need to buy a few to get one that survives.

That SG-1 clone is worth all the rest put together.

I have fond memories of the Boss Dimension C, but since they're almost impossible to find today the new TC clone looks really promising

I'm wondering if their Dimension C clone would do a nice synth chorus, a la Roland Juno...

$50 is about the right price for a Dimension C.

Shame the Dimension C clone is mono only, and not stereo capable....still sounds pretty good though.

I'd be willing to check out the Dimension clone, too bad it isn't in stereo.

I have a VFE Bumblebee, which is an SG clone along with a compressor. I'd imagine there are still some used ones for sale out there, if someone wanted a slow gear that's built like a tank instead of plastic, but I'm sure it'll be more expensive, too.

I'm going to pre-order the Dimension C clone from my local dealer this week. I've wanted one for ages, but didn't want to pay original prices or deal with a flimsy piece of plastic.

Thus far, TC Electronics stuff has been very reliable for me. If these new pedals can hold up like TC...then I will be a happy customer. It will be unfortunate if it suffers that same qc as the behringer stuff I had.

I'm really rooting for them.

Have you tried any of their new $50 series they released this year? I've always had good luck with the full size/full price TC stuff, but I've been wondering about how solid this new series is.

No I haven't. It's kind of news to me. Is there any consensus on it yet? I'm really interested to know.

I switched on my speakers when I noticed there was a demo video, then on a second glance clocked the guy's haircut and decided not to bother. I would watch a demo by Andy of Reverb, though.
