Re: first multieffect
I haven't tried it... but a Chinese company called NUX makes one called the mg-100. It has built in drum beats which may be handy. The build quality looks decent enough for the price, I haven't watched videos so I don't even know what it sounds like... I just know it exists.
What is acoustic? Oh, you means a grandpa's guitars? A grandpa's guitars? That's for pussies and grandpas. I think you know it.

The nux mg-200 is even cheaper at $110. When someone says "budget" I try to give the cheapest answer... may not be the best, but I'm sure it'll get you by... it's gotta be better than the digitech rp's that I had growing up.

Re: first multieffect
In the context of budget ("non-expensive", the OP specified) multi-fx, the Zoom G3n/G3Xn IS a budget/non-expensive choice! Incredible value for money. If you can't afford one now, save up a bit more; it'll be worth it . Their cost is not a lot in the context of guitar fx pedals. It's the price of two decent single stompboxes. No brainer. Otherwise get complete tat and regret it later, for the sake of $50-$100 extra.FightingPlankton wrote: ↑Sat Oct 28, 2017 10:13 amThe nux mg-200 is even cheaper at $110. Ha. I had an Rp2000 and I only liked 2 or 3 channels. I paid a music shop to send it to digitech for repairs and they basically sent it back to me unfixed. It soured me to multi-effects, I now use a chorus or play straight into the amp.

Re: first multieffect
I remember toying around with a Digitech RP7, which supposedly had a tube in it. I didn't think it was so bad, but then again, the way I remember things when I was a kid was there was ZOOM and non ZOOM... non ZOOM was way better lol

Re: first multieffect
just picked up a digitech rp6 from goodwill to flip on ebay. No power supply which sucks because its a special cable and I dont want to sell a non-functioning item. I would order a new one but it costs more than i paid for the whole unit.
