small head low profile patch cables
I'm trying to connect my Boss PN-2 and RV-6 in stereo. The pancake plugs on the patch cables I have are way too wide to allow two to be plugged in per pedal. Of course I've left myself very little room on my Nano + so they need to be crammed right up against each other.
Looking for something soldered. Looking for something short too. 3" would be good so there's not a lot of excess cable flapping around.
I found the Lava Mini ELC. Anything else in this category I should be looking at?

Re: small head low profile patch cables
I've read of some people having succes by filing the edge of the case off their pancake jacks. Not something I've had to do yet, but it leaves the internals sound.
Once it fits, wrap in heatshrink or tape or similar.

I’m having great results with evidence audio monorail cables, which quite frankly have been essential to accommodate a G2 in my rig

Re: small head low profile patch cables
I ended up going with soldered Lava Mini ELC in the end. Thanks, Reverb sale.
I also looked at the Sinasoid Sliver, but the plug on these is slimmer where it matters in my particular application. Heard some unfavorable things about the solderless Lava cables. Hopefully these will be a bit more robust.
Going to try to rewire my board tomorrow and get the power supply installed. Hopefully everything will cram on there and I can have some stereo delay, verb, and panning goodness soon. The last piece of the stereo rig puzzle is arriving Monday

If you ever want to try solderless, the Evidence Audio SIS system is amazing. Super solid. The jacks are similar to the size of your Lava ones. Cable isn't cheap, but they're easy to make.

Well my effects setup will be completely done after this and I'll never need new patch cables ever again.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 11:17 pmIf you ever want to try solderless, the Evidence Audio SIS system is amazing. Man after my own heart. Once I get my guitar and bass boards done, I'm not touching them again either. I love pedals, but I'm quite looking forward to just making music, and not worrying about gear.marqueemoon wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 11:37 pmWell my effects setup will be completely done after this and I'll never need new patch cables ever again.

If you're joining two Boss pedals together, their sockets should (hopefully) line up...?
In which case you could go for something like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-pcs-6-35mm ... 0005.m1851 ?

I was joking. It's a constant work in progress.Shadoweclipse13 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 3:14 amMan after my own heart. Once I get my guitar and bass boards done, I'm not touching them again either. They don't. They are different generations of Boss pedals.Bradley-Jazz wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 4:23 amIf you're joining two Boss pedals together, their sockets should (hopefully) line up...?

I did use one of those when I was running my two old Barber pedals together though. Saved a ton of space.

Mine too, but I'm honestly looking forward to never having to do that stuff again once I get my boards set the way I wantmarqueemoon wrote: ↑Sat Feb 03, 2018 7:39 amI was joking. Re: small head low profile patch cables
Got everything cabled up and the power supply mounted yesterday. There's not a mm to spare between pedals, but everything fits and works. Stereo is ridiculous, but also pretty fun.
