big knobs

Post by dmin77 » Wed Aug 30, 2017 1:57 am

I'm looking for some big knobs to replace certain knobs on my pedals; I want to be able to tweak'em with my feet so thinking big is better. Are there any knobs or even knob covers that folks here would suggest?

I have a few from an old synth I plan to use but wanted to see
if there was something cool out there I should check out?

Thanks!

I think these are the type you see on DBA pedals.

My dejavibe has one of these knobs and I'm all over it with my foot coz it doesn't have an expression pedal input.

i have a few of these in different sizes that get used on pedals that get adjusted on the fly via feet. work great. can usually find them in different sized fairly easily.

I think the top pic you posted is like the ones I'm gonna try first.
I'm pulling these off a marsynth nomad prototype pedal I have that died.
They measure 1inch by 3/4inch wide.

LOVE it. I wonder if that one would be too big...
I'm presently replacing the "onset" knob on my Fairfield Electronics the unpleasant surprise,
It's set very close to the vol knob tho..

I think this might be the ideal solution for you:

The FF Knob is so smooth that it turns perfect on it. also can be put on & off every time.

The Rat knob is bigger and has more resistance, so the sharpness of the screw gives it the right grip. the screw is angled upwards and I don't take it off.

Here I was lucky. smooth knob and a different size... I needed something smaller that will be always on.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the comments & inspiration here

Hey Postfuzz -Those knobs are beautiful!

I'm glad I have a few extra knobs on my dead nomad.
I'm definitely gonna see what I can come up with if these don't work out.
I put a couple on one of my JMs also:

I have a 1-knob FF with a huge knob. I thought I'd miss having a pointer or something but nope.

Ever look into something like this? I've seen these around for awhile, and they seem like they're made to do exactly what you're looking for.
