Earthquaker has a new fuzzwuzzler
Another bit crusher fuzz with added craziness. In this case two independent multi-octave pitchshifts plus oscillation. The price seems reasonable on this one.

Re: Earthquaker has a new fuzzwuzzler
I decided to sell my Bit Commander as I haven't been using it and I found that I'd be able to do that with synths/modular synths that I'm planning on getting into, and then I see this. It sounds super cool! I wouldn't put it on a pedalboard, but for noise effects... Man, this thing would be cool. Plus, those graphics! SO cool. They remind me of some of the stuff from Death By Audio.
I wrote EQD a few months back with a quick question about something and Jamie himself wrote back. We got to chatting for a minute about all their stuff, etc., and he said that they've got like 3 or 4 years worth of stuff just about ready to be released, but between spacing the releases out and final circuit tweaks, he's holding onto them for now. SO excited to see what else they come up with.

I was looking for a pedal exactly like this a few weeks ago and settled on a Rainbow Machine...today I ordered the Data Corruptor.

Cool, let us know what you think! I have at least two friends interested as well.
It sounds more interesting and musical to me than some of the Ehx boxes or the WMD Geiger Counter, which are also more expensive. The Eventide H9 has a patch called PitchFuzz that can do something similar, but doesn't have the glide function and costs a lot more unless you're already using one for delay, reverb, etc.
Fredric Effects has a Dresden Fuzz that does up and down octaves, but is really limited compared to this and costs almost as much. Seems like the best deal out there. I really like the demo where he gets a Brian May type tone and then it morphs into something else. Seems repeatable and controlled too, which is a big deal with these boxes. Sometimes I feel like a fisherman trying and failing to recreate tones. "You should 'a heard the one that got away!"

I'm REALLY loving this pedal. Granted, it won't be for everyone, but it'll surely open the floodgates for creativity.

Grabbed mine last week and it's pretty darn cool. Very much the deluxe version of the Bit Commander in my estimation and so much more. There are a metric ton of sounds in here w/ really musical ones possible as long as you keep it below 2 notes of polyphony and a whole bunch of cool noisemaking potential. I'm thinking it should sound amazing for bass/Bass VI/baritone but haven't had a chance to try it w/ anything but the guitars and Kaosillator yet.

I like this one and I'm about to pull the trigger on it but first wanted to ask;
can anyone tell me what else is out there that compares to this pedal?
links to video demos would be cool.. THANKS!

Well, the OP has a link to a demo and their are several alternatives listed in the thread, but there aren't many pedals like this. The Geiger Counter is close, and you could maybe put a bit crusher or velcro fuzz in front of an Ehx Superego or Microsynth to get something similar. I guess the Sitar or Rainbow Machine would work just as well as those, otherwise hunt down a Lovetone Ring Stinger if you have a spare $1200-1500.dmin77 wrote:I like this one and I'm about to pull the trigger on it but first wanted to ask;

I didn't know they had other color schemes, but I think I like the black and white the best.dmin77 wrote:i was recently in akron oh for the data corrupter launch party.
