Everyone needs a stompbox.

I love this CSP-104. A previous owner added an on/off light and a power jack input on the back.

feed a blue box into it and run it into a vibrato pedal and you're getting close to rowland s howard.

...what surprises me is, many a pages say it's not a distortion pedal, but more of an overdrive. Wth? This thing is almost fuzz!!!

Really nice to just use it with the guitars volume knob.
When I want to convince myself to give up and quit guitar, I contemplate or research the actual differences between overdrive and distortion (or fuzz.) :fp:

Can anyone expand more on why these typically get grouped up with overdrive pedals? I know a lot of people looking for either bluesy, 80s rock or metal sounds typically don’t like these but not sure how much I trust those opinions. Maybe I just need to try one - but is there consensus here whether it falls into the modern distortion or overdrive idiom?
King Buzzo: I love when people come up to me and say “Your guitar sound was better on Stoner Witch, when you used a Les Paul. “...I used a Fender Mustang reissue on that, dumbass!

It's very much distortion. More fizzy than fuzzy when dimed. Where it falls in to "overdrive" territory, is where many people will set the D+ up with the volume maxed with the distortion in the off position (or close thereto). It's the range from 0-10 and where people use it, that shapes their opinion of them. To my ear, there aren't a lot of other things that do the volume = 10 / distortion = 0 "overdrive" sound better. So when I think D+, I tend to think of it more as an overdrive. In the '90s... I definitely used it as a distortion box - always with the distortion at noon or better.

It does distortion best, overdrive okay, and "boost" rather poorly from my experience.
