Jazzmaster + compression = good times
Jammed with a friend tonight and pulled out the ol' Tone Press. I rarely play "lead" guitar, so it was pretty fun. A little tremolo action + comp can really keep notes going, and to my ears the compressor is a good match for the natural sound of a JM. You just get more of that nice plonk.

i've been quite surprised at how good the TC Electronic HyperGravity sounds in demos.
