its not that i feel the board is lacking anything. not really. i just have felt held held back by not having the option to add anything else (without adding another power supply or removing something already on). not to mention i was (originally) already considering another overdrive or fuzz. this is mainly an exercise in learning about new pedals and to see if anything strikes my fancy. a lot of people on OSG have good ideas and have a much greater wealth of knowledge than i.fuzzking wrote:Sorry, as this might be a rather silly question... why would you rather fill up the pedal board? Just because? No smartassery... only curious. I mean, it doesnt sound as if you were lacking that one 18V magic pedal... only to fill up the board? Like, the board is a means unto itself? Only trying to und erstand, afaic.

I like the Topanga at 18V.
If you are looking at another Catalinbread pedal, check out the Belle Epoch (so versatile compared with the Topanga, no wonder so many people love the Belle Epoch) and the Karma Suture (this one is the sleeper, it is very different from your Rat, great on its own and brilliant for stacking behind other dirt).

the only pedal ive run at 18V was a Lovepedal Kalamazoo. Humbuckers sounded more "single coily," if i recall correctly. It was cool.

Running my Catalinbread Talisman at 18V these days. What a great pedal.
