99 times out of a hundred I just plug straight in, but I've got a few tricks up my sleeve that I bring out occasionally:

Re: your effects setup?
I've gone through a ton of pedals, but the only setup I've been consistently happy with is:
Guitar into Z-Vex Fuzz Factory into Foxx Tone Machine into Electro Harmonix Frequency Analyzer into Echoplex into amp. Those two fuzz pedals hate eachother and create the most disgusting noises when turned on together.

Re: your effects setup?
Yeah, though to be honest, that's not the exact model I have. Mine is a Guild branded one that was (I assume) made for import to the U.S. It's awesome for the Shadows sound, especially plugged into my AC10.mezcalhead wrote: Valve Copicat!

Re: your effects setup?
Teh updatez!
My Fuzz pedal shit the bed, so some rearranging happened, oh and that DMM arrived too.
signal goes like this Guitar>BulletCableFTW>Frequency Analyzer>Deluxe Memory Man* I know you're not supposed to put it here, F you dudes, it's a noise pedal * >Regular old Crybaby>Bad Monkey FTW>Behringer Tremelo>Blue Box>Behringer DigiDelay (this shit does about a 1 second loop, so i had to keep it)>Tuner *I know it's not supposed ot go here, F you dudes. *>Behringer Vintage Distortion, cause it sounds better than my black russian big muff>DL4 FTW>Boss Loopstation.
I think all i would ever add is a H.O.G. a fuzz factory (Ibanez fuzz, R.I.P.) and perhaps a whammy.

Re: your effects setup?
I dig it, but I'm finding the chorus and vibrato quite useless, excepting noise sessions... I mostly got it for freakouts/texture applications, so I'm pretty pleased.

Re: your effects setup?
I am hoping for a rough simulation of a tape echo..I understand if you hit the echo with a dab of the chorus this comes close

Yeah, you can get that sort of sound out of it. A bit of tremolo helps, even moreso. I love my DMM.Infliktor wrote: I am hoping for a rough simulation of a tape echo..I understand if you hit the echo with a dab of the chorus this comes close

Re: your effects setup?
I guess I've never heard a real tape delay, only the simulation on my DL4, but the repeats on the DMM get pretty grungey. If you do overloads/runaways the sound is pretty different ( that's how i judge my delays mostly ) Digital-supaclean normal delays, gross pile up overload Tape- grungy delays, hissy overload. Analog- grungey (but my favorite) delays, roaring madman overload

Re: your effects setup?
How are those Behringer pedals working out for you? I've been tempted to buy some, as they are pretty much the only things that fit into my budget.

Re: your effects setup?
Pretty good, but I'd trade 'em all for your 69 jazzmaster.
the delay will do a very short loop though, which is real handy for me. The trem is pretty versatile, and the "Vintage distortion" is rad! Beat out my russian big muff! It has a ton of low end, so watch out...

Re: your effects setup?
Damn, the '69. I was going to suggest a trade for my '64, but the '69. Ah well, window of opportunity closed now.
So, no reliability issues then? That's the only thing holding me back...the somewhat sketchy rep of Behringer reliability...

Re: your effects setup?
have you made your VD (hehe... i said VD) true bypass? i had one for a while but traded it for a big muff cause i couldn´t stand the fuzz leaking through to the clean sound. i really loved the fuzz though, i´m thinking of getting one again and making it TB.aen wrote: Pretty good, but I'd trade 'em all for your 69 jazzmaster.
