Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
Yep, i agree about the rubber feet. Not sure I am ready to commit divots to the cab, but definitely looking for a better solution that doesn't spoil the amp Here's a quick video i took on my phone after it was done last weekend. Haven't gotten much time with it since.

Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
Just got these the other day. The blue/black one's from Hammond, the all black one is from SuneMall in Asia....
They're both great but I'm loving the all black one. Just as sturdy as the Hammond but nicer with the rubber feet. As it stands now they're virtually identical in proportions (the all black one is actually a few millimetres smaller in size) but removing the feet will actually make the all black one lower, therefore smaller than the blue/black one.
More to come....

Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
Been working on some prototype pedals that I will be selling through facebook groups etc.
Meathead Clone, LPB1, Meathead & LPB1 combined, fulltone fatboost.
Will be getting graphics printed for the "production" ones...
gut shot, pre wiring of the dual pedal...

This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Your builds have been looking super tidy. Nice work

Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
Its a germanium preamp with a ton of character. Its got fuzz like break-up, but cleans right up with your volume knob. The 3-way toggle switch is used to shape the low end before the preamp and the small knob is high contour (post-preamp). Really happy with the sounds. I'll try to get a clip before sending it out. Have a feeling I'll be making a few more of these.

That's great! Would loooove some clips! Is that rehoused? Can't tell what the box is/was. Looks like some kind of test device??
Based on any particular schem?

Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
Its my own design. Not based off anything in particular, but the circuit is simple and nothing remarkable. I've built a couple of them now and for each one I just end up doing a lot of listen testing with different component variations to land on the final implementation.
The enclosure is an old piece of test equipment I salvaged and repurposed (I do this for a lot of my pedals). It started out as this:
The construction is all handwired on a tag board. Here's a photo from when I was auditioning different trannies (I remove the socket for the final build):

Re: The D.I.Y. thread.
My third build - it's built on a Madbean Sabertooth board that daydreamdelay gave me a couple of years ago, so I'd start building my own pedals
Took me long enough to make it happen...
and even then, it took me a couple of months to figure out why it refused to work
But here it is

Thanks
I wanna see that! The Barbershop is on my list, too.
Typeface is Unitus. It's a utilitarian fave.
