here is a video from 2 days ago.
New Amp Day!!!!
I`ve found an oooold rare Yamaha amp with cabinet here in Berlin!
It`s a PE200 and the cabinet is called TS200. The head has got those sliders. The cabinet is a kind of Marshall box monster!
I don`t know exactly what is in there. Somebody told me that the PE200 head is the pre amp and the cabinet TS200 has got the power amp inside.
This amp sounds amazing! It is LOUD! And clean and warm! In the video I play it with a Fender Reverb tank before.
The amp has got a so lala sounding reverb, a nice Tremolo and a funny WahWah, which is called WawWaw on this amp.
The Jaguar is a CIJ equipped with old tremolo unit, a staytrem bridge and pickup wizard pickups.
(the lead guitar which you can not see in the video is a 1960 Jazzmaster played through a Yamaha TA60, haha!)

So, is there anybody out there with more informations about this Yamaha amp maybe??? I would be happy!" onclick=";return false;

That there is a pretty funky amp.

I love Yamaha guitars but have never played any of their amps other than a THR5 which didn't leave me impressed. I should give them another shot.

Yes, I guess, a THR5 is something completely different. Maybe ok for at home playing, but not to compare with such a huge mighty amp.
The old Yamaha solid state amps are worth to check them out! In our band we sometimes play both with Yamaha TA60 amps, which sound similar to early Fender Showman amps.
