"New" Fender Amps at NAMM...
It's nice to see Fender get SOMETHING right.
Ladies and gents, I introduce you to the '57 Deluxe hand-wired amplifier.
Now THAT is an amp. Granted, I already have a '62 Deluxe. But I'd love to have a partner for it.
I also introduce you to the Champion 600 amplifier.
That one looks like it could be a nice "secret weapon" recording amp. Only a 6" speaker, though. That does worry me a bit...
Anybody have any experience with the hand-wired Twin that Fender released this past year? I've heard they were pretty incredible...

yes!
the handwired one looks very sweet...I hear the price is going to be $1800....it is pricey, especialy compared to the boutique clones around the $1k mark
but still, a step towards the right direction from Fender!!

Is there any kind of suggested list price out for those two yet? The Deluxe definitely has my interest . Being handwired and all, I bet the price will be similar to the Twin they did (I think it was like $3500 or so, but I'm not real sure). I'd love to try one out whenever they make it to some shops.

That is less than I thought. Still a good bit of money, but maybe they wil lgo for a reasonable amount used in the enxt year or two. I'd love to have one. Honestly though, I probably wouldn't get much use out of it... but it sure is prettyzhivago wrote: yes!

That Champion looks cool. I agree about the speaker though, 6" is perhaps a little small unless you're specifically after a boxy sound. Wouldn't the originals have had an 8" speaker like the tweed Champs?
I like some of Fender's more recent amps .. I'd love to get my hands on a Vibro-King, for example. Three speakers and a three-knob reverb stage .. how cool is that?

Custom shop super-dee-duper version of the 57 Deluxe with Celestion speakers.
Only 300 to be made

Some of the early Champs had 6" speakers too, I believe. Here's some original Champion 600 info: http://www.ampwares.com/ffg/champ_600.htmlmezcalhead wrote: That Champion looks cool. It'd be sweet if the champ 600 was reasonably priced like the epiphone Valve Junior.
Why should we buy postage stamps? We can make our own.

Yeah, It'd be real sweet. Though noone around here is expecting to shell less than 450 euros (about 600 USD) for it.pullover wrote: It'd be sweet if the champ 600 was reasonably priced like the epiphone Valve Junior.

I bet that if the Champ isn't handwired, it easily will be modded into being. Just like the valve junior.
