Got this head from Guitar Center. I think it needs new caps. The reverb isn't working, but other controls work fine. It is missing one foot so I ordered a new set.

I took the amp apart to look at the reverb tank to see if I could figure out why it wasn't working. Well all four wires in the tank were broken off. I made new leads and reattached the wires to the leads and it is back in business. I also wrapped them in electrical tape, but here are the wires reconnected.

I can see it now, you're heading down the slippery slope into tube amp repair. :wtf:

Buckle in

That would have worked better. I ordered some before, but ended up getting the wrong size so they were way too big. I figured I could always replace the tank, but if I could get it going with a simple solder job, than why not?

This amp is so good, but it is so loud. I have it at like 2.... LOL And that is right before the sound completely cuts out.

I’ve never had any luck fixing a reverb tank, it’s always been the thinner than a hair
transducer wire that inevitably break.
Yeah, the Randall’s are loud SS amps.

I got lucky with this one. I think it is funny that in the tank bag is a piece of cardboard with a thin piece of metal stapled to it. I am guessing to block some noise? It doesn't cover the full bottom though. Only like half.
