Tis finally landed today after getting lost in Kentucky for a week.

I had one back in 2015 I think it was but stupidly sold it to a producer in Southampton who was dying to get one. Regretted since, finally fixed.

Couple of issues (boost switch does nothing, one speaker jack weirdly missing). I'm off away for 5 days from tomorrow so I'll have a dig when I'm back. Apart from that it works great and sounds as expected - the best clangy gritty bass tone you could hope for.

They sound pretty good with guitar too, very immediate and punchy. Zero sag or anything like that...a real slap in the face.

by law, you have to play a shellac bassline on it.

I feel they go through phases. This was my collection circa 2017...

Got home early, had time to take a quick look.

It obviously got bashed in transit as one foot was totally snapped off and I found the nut for the speaker output in the box.

Took it out quickly to sort that out and look at the boost circuit. It's buried behind the PCB and I can't be bothered right now. The boost wasn't really all that on my last one so I'm in no hurry to fix it.

Look at all that empty space 😂

I think the serial dates it to 1979
