God help me... I'm such a dope.
Last summer I bought my Music Master Bass amp and really liked it.
But it had a bad volume/ on/ off pot and a little hum. All OEM pots and capacitors.
I bought some new caps and a pot and went to work.
Then I went back to work and all my projects ( two amp repairs and two offset projects) went dormant.
Now, with two newer acquisitions ready to play(a neat Hondo Lead II copy and a Squire 51) I want to play thru a real tube amp again.
Kinda bored with my Dano Nifty 30 and a modeler.
So I go to work on the MMB and I find I am half finished wiring in the new pot. Not a huge deal but I wish I had saved a photo of the old wiring so my repair doesn't cause a city wide electrical blackout!!!!
Damn I'm old....

Re: God help me... I'm such a dope.
Thanks Gilmour....that is a good photo reference.
I have most of it figured out... but of the 20/20 x 300 v filter capacitor replacements I have in stock I can really only use one.
The bigger F&T I have will work fine but I need two...for some reason I ordered a smaller radial cap ( of the same 22mf) for one leg of the old Mallory thinking it would fit "better"....I was wrong.
I dicked around with it for an hour then took a nap. This morning one look at the amp and I the light bulb went off!
Amazing how a nap can help clear the mind...
While I am at this deal I am going to order some grill cloth. It looks like some tomcat used the amp for a scratching post....the tolex is good for a '73. The grille cloth not so much.
I really like this amp...has the classic clean chime. Never really knew much about these until I found this last summer. This has a nice Jupiter 12" speaker in it...
More later.

I think I need the fabric with the turquoise stripe?

Well I got the new cap I ordered....off to Florida tomorrow. I might drag this amp along and work on it at my brother's place.
