I recently picked up a Traynor Mono Block II solid state bass amp locally – man is it a lot of fun! I was looking for something offbeat that could get grindy midrange tones on and this critter definitely delivers. Questions follow after the obligatory photos:
I really dig the Death Star meets SST Records aesthetics. It was considerably grungier when I picked it up.
Anyway, I'm curious about the whole 2 Ohm thing. My understanding is that the head was paired with a 215 cabinet it was designed to run with, but would I be fine to run it through a 4 ohm cabinet? My internet searchery indicates yes, but I've always been a combo guy so I have little understanding of everything I'm reading.
BTW, a PDF of the manual for this beast is here for anyone who's interested.

Solid state amps are very forgiving with Ohms.
4ohm will be fine. With every step down in ohms you'll lose some wattage/output, that's all that will happen.

Silly Rabbit, don't you know scooped mids are for kids?
