High Gain tones of Smashing Pumpkins' "Gish," and "Mellon Collie."

My Bloody Valentine toured with ADA MP-1s in support of "Loveless."

Other rack amp users?

That’s seriously cool. What is the power amp?

How do you use the 2/3 pre-amps?
I have nothing to offer anybody, except my own confusion?

Thanks Sal!

I used to have an elaborate rack set up but lately I use the speaker emulated output of the JMP-1 to record DI.

I had a solid state Marshall Valvestate 1U 8004 power amp that occupied the bottom rack space, but it sounded much better (to my ear) to run the JMP-1or ADA MP-1 into my JCM800.

Mine needs a visit to the shop, but I love my MP-1. That and an ADA power amp with some rack reverbs in between are bliss. Does Marshally and JC120ish well, great sounds for days...

MP-1 rules with its on-board analog chorus. I'd like to try an MP-2 one day.

I also love the rack reverbs .. SPX90, MIDIVERB II, FX500 etc.

I recently started to make rack set up. I’m using a Sansamp Psa-1 into a toneworks 1160 poweramp. I’m pretty happy with this combo so far.

I’m trying out a SPX-90 II and Art SGX2000 for my fx. Still figuring things out,

haha, that's my dream home setup! I love JMP-1, never had chance to try out the ADA, but I've heard only great things about it. My other dream preamp is the Mesa Studio Preamp, but they got pretty expensive over the years.

I've threatened to put a rack system together a few times.

Maybe make the preamp myself, and use a Marshall EL34 50/50 dual monoblock feeding two 1x12 cabs.

I have one situation where it'd actually be realistic (e.g. I wouldn't have to carry it myself), but most of the time it just wouldn't be practical.

But I really like the idea of doing something that not everyone else is doing.

I had an ADA MP-2 for a long time. It sorta did everything. The solid state clean channel was kinda what sold me on it, and the chorus was really good, too. In the end, I decided I preferred having everything on the floor in front of me, so I sold it.

The MP-1 has all kinds of crazy mods that people do, one is shoehorning in another tube.
This is an excellent rectangle

This is the issue. I had an awesome 8U rack setup (well, I still do) with a Voodoo Labs GCP midi controller. Sounded great, looking great, but almost impossible to tour with.
