Welp, I guess I take back what I said in the Vox thread.
Since my Mesa is trapped at my drummer's apartment until further notice, I wanted something with tubes to play at home. My only real experience with Voxes was an AC30CC that I briefly had, didn't really understand, and quickly flipped, so I'm looking forward to getting to know this one. The rasp and honk are certainly something different, but I imagine it'll cut really nicely with a band. Also couldn't really argue with the blue tolex now could I?
And yes, a Crowther Hotcake is likely in my future soon too.

So which one did you get?’ (can’t see the image)
I can recommend the Hotcake with an AC, finally got one. Something to push it, or something to make it really scream.

It's a boost booster, to boost your boost - it makes your tone much muchier.

Interesting, I may have to fix the image tag then. It's an AC15.

Congrats! Those are fun. My first proper guitar amp (I was a bass player for years before I really started playing guitar) was a blue AC15c1 I picked up cheap off eBay. It definitely classed up the gear corner of my apartment and sounded great.

Re: NAD: A Li'l Blue Guy
I can see it now, very nice! Mine is the blue & cream.
It came with a Greenback, I have a Blue in it right now, but I’m waiting on a Gold to arrive that I’m going to try in it.
I changed out the reverb unit with a better Accutronics model, and it sounded much better. I recently bought a mod kit from Fromel, that comes with a MOD reverb unit and a couple of other things to change the tone stack somewhat and something else (don’t remember), to bring it closer to the sound of the original. I plan on trying to install that when the speaker comes in, and do it all at once. We’ll see how that goes....
I hope you like it a lot, it looks like a really nice amp.

I've been really enjoying it today now that I've got it dialed in. Its natural tonality was something I had to get used to, but the richness of the sound is pretty addicting.
