Glad it's working well, and it should only sound better as the speaker breaks in.

But 2 suggestions/options:

1 - get a 12AT7 and try that out in V1, that will bring your breakup point down lower, if that's what you want (you will still have an AX following it for gain). It may also help your EQ situation out some (?). If you don't like it, you can just pop the AX back in. I put one in V1 of the AC15C1 I just got, and it sounds really good. So now both of my C1s have ATs in the V1 position.

2 - Earcandy has a speaker break in cd for sale (or you can download it) that you can use to break in the speaker, and it says it doesn't have to be turned up that loud at all to be effective. I got the cd, hooked up a cd player to an amp and let the cd play on repeat like 4 or 5 times (I think they recommend 4 - 6 times?) at low volumes. It may not be quite as effective as playing at high volumes, but it's got to accomplish something, and it's easier and less noisy.
