For £600, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a clean, used SF Twin. In fact, a quick gumtree search just turned one up in Inverness for £500...

New Fenders of the size you're after will be a bit over your budget. Hit the guitar shops and try out a Vox or two and see how you get on with them...I see the 1x12 AC30S1 has been reduced in a lot of places, and you can get one new in the £500-600 range. I'd imagine that would give you more than enough grunt to keep up with a loud/heavy bass and drums.

dude, this is a good deal. see if you can get it down to 450 then take it to flynn amps in glasgow for a quick checkup.

Seconded (thirded? fourthed?) on a DRRI. I play mine with a super heavy-handed drummer and it doesn't have any trouble keeping up.

im gonna reply to every one of these i see. he's really unlikely to find one in his price range. even used they tend to stay around £700

Yeah DRRIs are pretty overbudget.
Not been that into examples I've heard either.

Sorry, that's surprising. They can be found pretty easily for less than $800 here in the states (~£600).
