Having an issue where my Twin’s cabinet rattles pretty badly when I play anything remotely bassy - for example, an A barre chord, at the 5th fret, neck pickup causes serious vibration. To the point where it sounds like the notes are farting out, but it’s actually the cab.
How do I know? If I apply pressure to the top of the cabinet, it goes away and everything sounds clear again.
So how do i go about fixing this? Don’t have a ton of experience pulling amps apart, so hoping not to blow myself up. Put a cinderblock on it?
Advice appreciated!

Have you tightened the bolts from the top of the amp that holds the chassis in place? Start there. If they are tight, I would loosen them a bit and put something between the chassis and cabinet to fill the gap between the two like some cardboard or heavy card stock and tighten the bolts again. That should be a temporary fix until you can find a more permanent solution.

Yep, tightened the screws at the top of the chasis as tightly as reasonably possible, but will definitely try some dampening tomorrow. Will see if I can find some foam or rubber, feels like that will work best.
Thanks for the tips!

Interestingly enough, just loosening the screws a bit seems to have resolved the issue for the most part. There’s a bit of vibration, but that’s to be expected with a TR set at 4 with the MV at 10.
